Using tesa® Mounting Glue for Tiles & Metal 14kg/cm²

Mount accessories on smooth and solid surfaces with confidence.

Cleaning the surface.

01Get your the surfaces nice and clean

Use a clean cloth and a silicone-free detergent (silicone can make your tiling non-stick, even to something as powerful as this adhesive) to remove as much dust, grime or grease from your tiling as possible. You can also use methylated spirit or rubbing alcohol. Make sure your surface is dry before you move on to the next step.

02Apply the adhesive

Apply the glue in dots or lines to the kitchen roll holder or whatever you are mounting, making sure you leave 10cm between them so that the air can reach the adhesive and ensure effective hardening from all sides.

Mounting the item.

03Position the object

Now press the object onto the tiling. While the glue’s still ‘wet’ you can fine-tune its position until it’s in precisely the right place before taking a cloth and wiping up any excess adhesive that may have seeped out at the sides.

Allow adhesive to dry.

04Allow to dry

Press down firmly across the entire surface of the object – it could be a toothbrush holder, a small mirror or just about anything - to ensure the glue’s polymers adhere. Finally, leave it in position for at least 48 hours to set. Heavier items need to be supported. Depending on material, the glue can take up to 3 weeks to reach its optimum strength.
