The KAM develops new business within assigned key accounts for wire harness in line with the North American and International Marketing strategies. Globale Verantwortung für ein B2B Geschäftsfeld

The Global Value Chain Engineer achieves material and part approvals for automotive Tier 1 suppliers; while researching market and customer requirements to determine the feasibility of business and product application. He/she drives key projects supporting close teamwork with the local tesa-Key Account Managers and the global Decision Making Units (DMU) of the customers. He/she develops and maintains an efficient network within the full global value chain comprising the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), the OES and tesa.

The Application Solution Engineer is responsible for all technical aspects of providing support in the field of s/s, d/s tapes and auxiliary products for applications at our customers, to assure the achievement of sales and margin plans in North America. The position provides product and application expertise along the complete value chain. The Application Solution Engineer coordinates and conducts new product evaluation and application testing and provides training to personnel as required. The Application Solution Engineer also serves as liaison with the International R&D groups in Hamburg and China, the relevant International Marketing group in Hamburg. He works closely with customers/sales for specification approvals and is responsible for the spec-in process of new products at our customers.

The Application Engineer (AE) is responsible for providing technical support for internal and external customers. The position also provides product and application expertise, new product evaluation, conducts and coordinates application testing and provides training to tesa personnel. The AE evaluates, records and reports physical and chemical characteristics of finished products of the existing assortment as well as competitive products and test assemblies. The AE evaluates and understands customer applications and specifications in terms of test programs. The AE also serves as liaison with the International R&D groups and works with customers/sales.

The person hired for the position of Quality Engineer will be responsible for quality programs that support the company’s initiatives.  They will lead and coordinate gap assessments to Industry expectations in addition to supporting product quality for the applicable materials, as well as supplier quality topics

Purchasing Manager, North America is responsible for managing assigned categories / suppliers of North American regional spend for items such as Raw Materials (e.g., Solvents, Natural Rubber, Polypropylene Resin, Adhesives, etc.), Third Party Products, supporting R&D Product Development Projects, and/or Indirect Materials. The position is responsible to manage assigned spend with objectives in the areas of cost, time and legal requirements.

As the technical specification is a critical component in determining the product cost and the level of supply safety in serial production, the Purchasing Manager is responsible to challenge the technical specification as appropriate and is very involved in the supplier selection process.

Purchasing Manager, North America reports to Senior Regional Manager Purchasing, North America, who reports to the head of the global tesa Purchasing Network (tPN). The head of global tPN reports to a tesa tape Board Member (Head of tesa Supply Network (tSN)).

tPN is tesa tape’s global Strategic Purchasing department. The tPN team manages an annual global spend of approximately €600 million across dimensions of cost, supply safety, and supplier performance / innovation. Most of the tPN team is located at tesa SE headquarters in Hamburg, Germany; however, tPN team members are also located in China, Malaysia, and North America. All tPN members globally have solid line reporting to tesa SE in Hamburg, Germany.

Purchasing Manager, North America attends the yearly global tPN Conference typically held in Germany.

The Associate Global Key Account Manager (aGKAM) supports the overall strategy of BU Electronics. This position carries global responsibility, a specific requirement is to act freely across geographical borders to manage and facilitate tesa’s US-based Global Key Account (GKA) related business originating from the defined design locations in direct co-operation with staff in Asia, Europe and the US. The aGKAM further enhances practical knowledge about assigned GKA, its processes and requirements within the tesa organization in related functions of technical sales, product and market management and R&D. The aGKAM furthermore organizes and conducts international GKA meetings for assigned GKAs (with support of US and EU colleagues) to jointly define priorities and activities to increase business with the account and its value chain.
