The importance of door tape

Time is money, so we at tesa have developed window and door tape for assembly that is four times faster than traditional door assembly with liquid glue to help you save valuable time and resources. The time needed for priming, applying the liquid adhesive, aligning, and possible cleaning of edges, plus the fixation for the drying process adds up, and you spend much of your time literally watching glue dry.
With the added bonus of bonding glass inserts, decorative trims and elements, surface protection during transport, and more products, such as our tesa® ACXplus 707x High Resistance family and the tesa® Adhesion Promoter, there is a world of opportunities.
Door tape application scenarios
A durable bond is of utmost importance in any adhesive tape application, but especially so in the building components industry. Door tape is no exception, and every application scenario has different requirements. Bonding of door panels gives a long-lasting base, style and functionality are combined by adding a glass element. To complete the design, decorative elements, trims, and small parts can be easily added with one of our double-sided foam mounting tapes
Bonding of door panels

Our pure acrylic adhesive with foamed acrylic backing is what holds residential and industrial doors together, with a focus on design, durability, and assembly speed, and an exceptionally clean finish. The different materials used for doors, such as wood, glass, metal, and fiberglass, can be reliably bonded with one of our ACXplus tapes for indoor and outdoor use. The viscoelastic core compensates for thermal elongations. Characteristics such as an immediate bond without curing, temperature and UV resistance, and excellent performance in different climates make them an optimal alternative to conventional fastening methods, such as screws, rivets, or liquid glue.
