The story behind
In July 2020, Elgato came to tesa with a request for their new Elgato Wave Panels. The honeycomb-shaped EasyClick Frames were designed to make soundproofing quick and effortless while letting you create any mesmerizing constellation. The only thing missing was a mounting component that was just as simple and intuitive.
Analyzing the situation, we found that the optimal solution not only already existed, but was also ready to ship with minimal adjustments: tesa® Powerstrips Technology for Wallpaper. Thanks to the quick response of our tesa colleagues in China, the goods were provided directly to the plant and production could start in a record time of ten weeks.

The quick, successful and seamless cooperation convinced Elgato to give us a second project right away for their new adhesive Light Strips. Assessing the requirements on our part, we realized that the ideal match from our portfolio could solve more than what was expected: A non-woven tape manufactured in close proximity to the Light Strip production met all specifications, while minimizing delivery time and logistics costs. Soon tesa® 88644 will do its part in brightening home studios and their owners’ mood alike with easy and reliable installation.
This double success story led to a new happy tesa customer in a very short time. It also shows that even challenges in a new field cannot slow you down when you can rely on great teamwork beyond borders and problem-solving beyond functions.
