In the electronics industry, there is a growing demand for more sustainable products. As electronic devices are made up of many components and each one needs to be optimized, our key customers have asked us to develop more sustainable adhesive solutions. We are responding to this request by delivering adhesive tapes like the innovative new tesa® 6066x bio-based electrically conductive tape. It consists of an adhesive with bio-based carbon content and post-consumer recycled PET (PCR PET) content in backing and liner.
Due to the use of recycled and bio-based materials, the launch of the tesa® 6066x bio-based electrically conductive tape is also an important step for tesa. It is fully in line with our ambitious sustainability agenda and strategic action areas. With this product, we can better support our customers in their sustainability goals.
Application of tesa® 6066x bio-based electrically conductive tape
Modern electronic devices contain miniaturized components and tiny integrated circuits that are highly sensitive. In order to protect them from electrostatic discharge and from interference caused by electromagnetic fields, electrically conductive tapes are used. They provide a low resistance path to ground unnecessary electrical noises and shield the components from electromagnetic waves.
tesa® 6066x bio-based electrically conductive tape has excellent electrical conductivity in all directions and can be used across a wide range of applications. It provides stable and reliable grounding in customer’s devices with sustainable benefits.
Similarly, tesa® 6066x bio-based electrically conductive tape can secure and ground electronic components, improve the signal quality of antennas, and attach and connect disparate pieces of conductive fabric, and other conductive metallic substrates.
