About the role
The Sales Supervisor is to manage all sales activities and lead the team in in assigned customers/region including maintaining and developing existing business and identifying and acquiring new customers to achieve/exceed sales objectives and goals through both revenue & profit.
What you will do
Sales Strategy & Planning:
- Deeply understand the regional short-term to long-term business strategy, develop and implement the sales strategy for assigned customers/region to achieve the business goals & objectives
- Execute and implement the annual sales plan based on the regional sales strategy
- Take initiative to develop the annual customer plan for assigned customers
- Cultivate and maintain good relationship with internal key stakeholders (e.g. marketing, product management, production, R&D, customer service, supply chain and other supporting functions), lead the team to maintain the network to deliver solutions and achieve business growth
- Coach and monitor the team to ensure 100% compliance
Distributor Management:
- Support to set-up the annual sales target for distributors to in line with the strategy
- Develop and execute action plans to enable customers partners and distributors to achieve sales targets
- Lead the team to develop and maintain strong business partner relationship with key distributors on comparable level
- Lead the team to manage the claim negotiations from and towards customers within defined parameters
- Coach the team to understand and follow-up the criteria and evaluation benchmark of distributor leveling
- Support the team to complete the annual distributors evaluation, set-up the appropriate distribution level based on business result, contribution and further business development plan
- Lead the team to monitor the performance of distributors closely, develop and implement the action plan to improve the underperformance distributors
Key Account Management:
- Support to develop the relevant customer strategy for assigned key accounts, supervise the team to implement the customer strategy
- Supervise the team to create and update the sales pipeline in CRM system timely
- Manage the team to generate customer visit report timely by using CRM tool and provide regular high/low lights as well as key customer and market intelligence. Take the documentation and sales funnel maintenance to identify the potential business growth opportunities with key accounts
- Lead the team to drive business growth with key accounts in assigned customers/region, build customer-centricity account plan based on the guideline, develop new business through new applications, new projects and new products to increase business share in target key customers
- Supervise the team to deal with complaints as interface between internal stakeholders from function teams and external stakeholders (key customers, value chain partners, association, downstream players), give feedback and solutions to customer on complaints and inquiries timely
- Advice and implement the effective action plan to complete the key accounts’ annual contract negotiation for volume, price, and margin.
Business Development:
- Lead the team to build-up strong business acumen and market intelligence to identify, analyze and monitor potential business growth areas and opportunities, understand competitive factors to support the business growth
- Study the targeted industries, understand the unmet needs of assigned customers/region, transfer the potential needs to Marketing and Product Management team to develop new products
- Lead the team to identify and develop the new partners/distributors based on market analysis to drive business growth
- Lead the team to monitor competitor activities closely and report regularly
- Identify sales/market potential, coach the team to feedback to Marketing or Product Management team to explore the potential solution for further business growth
Team Leadership and Management
- As the team leader to develop and manage the team to complete the daily route work accurately and timely
- Support the supervisor to set-up the annual KPIs to the team and engage all of the team members to work for the results to achieve the good performance at the end of the year
- Manage teams by offering coaching and mentoring, motivate team members to keep passion to the work
- Follow-up and implement the designed career roadmap for the internal talent development
- Identify the team talents and work with the key stakeholders to implement the individual talent development plan
- Engage the team members with the consistent team culture based on the tesa People Value
What you will need
Education Background:
- Bachelor degree and above, major in Business Administration or Chemical related will be a plus.
Skills/Capabilities/Working Experience Requirement:
- More than 5 years in the Automotive industry sales experience. Either the strong BD/sales ability or sales supervisor experience
- Experience of team management, the sales experience responsible for both OEM and Tiers/OES or the knowledge of tier 2 product promotion will be preferred
- Strong insight for distributor development and management, experienced in drive business development
- Strong speech and structured presentation skills, capability to communicate, cooperate and influence across departments and regions
- Strong problem-solving skills, can lead the team to identify routine problems and present clearly, analyze the root reason and business acumen, can teach team members to solve the problems based on supervision and coach
- Highly self-motivating, open minded and diligent attitude
- Strong willingness to grow and step out of comfortable zone with own initiatives, proposal and drive the decision-making
- Good capability to work well under pressure
- Good conflict management capability, can identify the key issues of the conflict and provide the appropriate solution to achieve alignment
- Good risk management sense, good sense to identify the potential risk and lead the team to eliminate.
Languages, Certificates and Skills:
- Good English communication skill in written and oral
- Experienced in project management skills, PMP certification will be a plus
Other Requirements:
- Business travel is needed, should be flexible to travel frequently
