Product description
tesa® 6950 is a high heat resistant two-layer, brittle acrylic laser markable film with a special adhesive system. The “UV-Footprint” adhesive leaves an UV-detectable trace on most surfaces as required by GB/T 25978 (P.R.C.) and NHTSA §541.5 (USA) The label is destroyed upon any attempt of removing and tampering and leaves a visible trace (damage of information and label) to prevent re-using and cloning. tesa® 6950 is specially designed to also fulfill the requirements of GB/T 25978 (P.R.C.) for A to F-Type labels (incl. engine and transmission). Marking and cutting are achieved by laser in one step, which makes it possible to realize any desirable label variation and format using only one material

Application Fields
- tesa® 6950 is specially designed to also fulfill the requirements of GB/T 25978 (P.R.C.) for A to F-Type labels (engine and transmission).
- Theft- and certification-relevant security labeling in the automotive industry, such as VIN and other certification labels and anti-theft parts marking for secure traceability over the entire vehicle lifetime
- Warning and instruction labels, e.g. tyre and loading labels, caution or emission labels
- Laser marking ensures highest flexibility and quick adaptation of format and contents, e.g. car model relevant data, different languages, sequential serial numbers, scannable QR codes
