The various tesa® bathroom series differ in shape, material, and surface structure. The shower accessories are available in stainless steel, chrome-plated aluminum, brass, or chrome-plated steel with a matte or glossy finish.
Sticking shower accessories in the bathroom is easy as pie
Gluing a shower rod or grab bar is as easy as pie. The following instructions do not replace the information in the package, but they show how easy gluing works. Because unlike drilling into tiles, neither power tools nor any experience is required here.
- select the place where you want to attach your new shower accessory.
- For the tesa® adhesive to stick to the tile, the surface must be free of dust, grease, lime, and other residues. Use a clean, soft cloth for basic cleaning. Please do not use any non-stick cleaning agents or cleaners containing silicone, as these substances impair the adhesive effect. After basic cleaning, clean with rubbing alcohol. If a cleaning cloth is included with your accessory, please use it.
- Remove the adapter ring from the package and remove the foil from the adhesive surface on the back.
- place the adapter ring in the desired location and press it firmly to the tile.
- now everything is ready and the tesa® Power.Kit technology can be used.
- Open the tube with the tube wrench and insert the opening into the larger hole in the adapter ring.
- Press adhesive into the adapter using the wrench until some adhesive comes out on the smaller opening of the adapter.
- now the back of the adapter is completely filled with adhesive and creates a secure connection with the tile surface.
- at this point you will need patience. The adhesive needs to cure for twelve hours. Do not touch the adapter during this time and in any case do not check the strength.
- after the waiting time, simply place your shower accessory on the adapter and tighten the screw with an Allen key.
