FAQs
What surfaces can’t I use Mounting Tape for Tiles & Metal on?
It’s stick to pretty much anything that’s not non-stick, so steer clear of silicon, stain resistant paint and PTFE.
What’s the deal with Mounting Tape for Tiles & Metal?
It’s perfect for flat objects like mirrors (up to 4mm), that need mounting in wet or humid environments on smooth and even surfaces. Because it works between - 10°C and 80°C and it’s UV resistant, it won’t be affected by sunlight so it’s great for windows and glass doors, too. It won’t work on non-stick surfaces, however.
How much weight can Mounting Tape for Tiles & Metal support?
This tape’s perfect for mounting thin, heavy things such as mirrors in damp environments like kitchens and bathrooms. For a 4mm-thick mirror measuring 70cm by 70cm you would need round about 4m of tesa Mounting Tape.
Which Mounting Tape is right for me?
We’ve got 5 different tapes specially designed for the most common tasks – two different types of Mounting Tapes for Tiles & Metal; one for Brick & Stone; one for Transparent and Glass; one for Wallpaper & Plaster. So all you have to do is choose the one best suited to the surface you have in mind.
