Highly ageing-resistant backboard splicing tape

Product description

tesa® 58420 is a transparent PET-based filmic tape with a modified acrylic adhesive. It is highly ageing resistant even under extreme ambient conditions such as high or low temperature or high humidity. tesa® 58420 exhibits excellent initial tack and final adhesion especially on rough surfaces such as MDF or HDF.

Resistance to tear propagation in longitudinal direction is essential for backboard splicing applications. The PET backing redirects any tear into cross direction and thereby ensures a stable splice while being thin and conformable.

tesa® 58420 is well suited for the use in automated applicators and is available in long length rolls.
