Colourful DIY Gallery Wall

We need: a collection of picture frames of different sizes and shapes, a selection of differently patterned sheets of paper – all red and white, scissors, pencil, red spray paint, tesa® Easy Cover,  (opens in a new window or tab)tesa® adhesive nail for wallpaper & plaster 1kg (opens in a new window or tab)  (opens in a new window or tab)and tesa® adhesive nail for wallpaper & plaster 0.5kg (dependent on frame weight), double-sided adhesive pads for transparent & glass (opens in a new window or tab)

First, protect your working surface with tesa® Easy Cover. Then use the spray paint to carefully paint the frames red.

Trace around the backs of the frames on the patterned paper with your pencil to mark the shape and size to be cut out. These will form the backgrounds for the artwork.

Take your scissors and cut out a background from the patterned paper for each frame.

Place the patterned pieces of paper in the frames of your DIY gallery wall and replace the frame backs.

Following the instructions on the packs, mount the tesa® adhesive nail for wallpaper & plaster 1kg (opens in a new window or tab) and tesa® adhesive nail for wallpaper & plaster 0.5kg on the wall. Which you’ll use for each frame depends on its weight. Hang the frames on the adhesive nails.

Now it’s time to add the masterpieces to the frames. Your children’s art work can be fixed in place using double-sided adhesive pads for transparent & glass (opens in a new window or tab) – and changed as often as you like!
