tesa® 54889 combines a strong polyester backing with a powerful acrylic adhesive. The PET layer serves as an excellent barrier against steam and vapor, protecting the surface which the die cut is adhered to. tesa® 54889 is used in the appliance industry and is especially suited for protecting countertops from the steam and vapor produced by dishwashers and ovens.
