8 Students - 1 Prize

A total of eight students, all on the college's Level 1 painting and decorating course, battled it out to create the best logo for global adhesive tape manufacturers tesa®, who sponsored the challenge.

The top prize went to Luca Nunnerley, age 19, who received a toolbox bundle full of different masking tapes from tesa® as his reward.

The budding decorators had just over three hours to create the sign, using masking tape to create a professional look.

Tutor Ljubiša Bogdanović said: “This competition provided a great platform for the learners to display the knowledge and skills they have amassed in this academic year.

"Not only will it look great on their CV but it helped challenge them and learn new skills."

City of Wolverhampton College currently has about 10,000 students, as well as 1,000 apprentices working for employers across the Black Country and beyond.
