Indirect Purchasing Expert

About the role

This position will be mainly responsible for IT and Professional services and will support for system related optimization project.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain spend database for indirect materials and services for DC
  • In charge of bidding, negotiation, and contract commercial terms with indirect material & service suppliers
  • Centralize the indirect purchasing for key products, while coordinating the local spend for less strategic goods. Especially high familiar with professional services and IT
  • Analyze price clean sheet and cost breakdown to understand the total cost ownership, and deliver the cost saving in order to achieve the corporate financial objectives
  • Efficient communication with cross function department
  • Source and evaluate new suppliers, while consolidating the existing supply base across all tesa DC sites
  • Identify and resolve issues with suppliers and function departments
  • Familiar with SAP operation especially in Ariba is a plus
  • Own and manage key suppliers’ performance to ensure long term cooperation

What you will need

  • BA in business or appropriate discipline
  • 5+ years indirect material/service sourcing experience and procurement operation experience
  • Strong sourcing skill and ability to successfully negotiate and deliver win-win supply agreements
  • Capable of building and maintaining good relationship with internal owners and outsourcing suppliers
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Ability to work across a variety of cultures and mindsets
  • Strong understanding of the key success factors of efficient global supply chain management
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel, Access, power point)
  • Self-motivated, able to manage many projects simultaneously
  • A system thinker able to understand and respond to the broad needs of internal customers
  • Solid analytical skills, with excellent follow-up and attention to detail
  • Ability to work across Business Unit
