New tesa® 50625 Basic powder coating tape for general applications
Technologies
We complement our high-quality powder-coating assortment with another basic masking tape that can withstand curing temperatures up to 200 °C for 30 minutes.

Our masking tapes are designed to endure demanding conditions: The powder coating process involves applying dry powder electrostatically to the material and curing it by heat, resulting in a durable finish that is tougher than conventional paint. The tapes are essential for achieving high-quality finishes, ensuring that only the desired areas are coated while protecting the rest.
Key requirements for powder coating tapes

Reliable protection: tesa masking tapes are used to protect areas that should remain free during the powder coating process. They shield surfaces from overspray and ensure clean, sharp edges.
High temperature resistance: Powder coating involves curing at high temperatures up to 220 °C. Our masking tapes are made to endure such heat without shrinking, curling, or leaving residue.
Additional characteristics of our masking tapes
Durability: tesa masking tapes maintain their integrity during the entire powder coating process, ensuring that the covered areas remain protected.
Clean removal: Masking tapes are designed to be removed cleanly without leaving any adhesive residue.
Versatility: Our assortment includes tapes in a variety of thicknesses, widths and lengths to suit different masking requirements.
Our relaunched powder coating tape assortment

tesa® 4331, our specialty offering, has a robust PET/nonwoven laminate backing that provides extreme tear resistance and excellent paint anchorage. It has a thickness of 110 µm and is temperature-resistant up to 200 °C with minimal curling.
Our performance range meets all the diverse requirements of powder coating and withstands demanding temperatures of up to 220 °C. tesa® 50650 is a blue translucent tape with a thickness of 55 µm and exceptional conformability. tesa® 50600 has a green translucent backing with a thickness of 80 µm and offers high tear resistance. Both tapes are made from polyethylene (PET) and have a 30 µm silicone adhesive.
Our basic powder coating options include tesa® 50620, which is 70 µm thick, green translucent, resists temperatures up to 200 °C and has high tear resistance and tensile strength.
Our new, thinner tesa® 50625 Basic powder coating tape is 50 µm thick and can withstand temperatures up to 200 °C. Its flexible backing makes it suitable for irregular surfaces, providing good conformability. Like tesa® 50600, tesa® 50650, and tesa® 50620, the blue translucent tape is colored to facilitate identification and positioning.
This versatile assortment covers every application and budget, while maintaining our commitment to quality and performance.
