Following its launch of the first digital printing machine for preprinting corrugated cardboard in 2017, Christiansen Print is now setting new standards in flexographic printing.
In the coming months, Europe’s largest preprinter will convert its entire stock of printing sleeves at its Ilsenburg facility to tesa Twinlock® technology. This one-of-a-kind technology allows printing plates to be bonded to cylinders and sleeves without the use of plate-mounting tapes.
With this switch, Christiansen Print will strengthen its market position in high-quality flexographic printing. In addition to improving processes through a high degree of standardization, the company is also enhancing printing performance and making production more sustainable in Ilsenburg. According to Björn Vorlop, Operating Engineer at Christiansen Print: “We work in a region known for its natural environment and we want to do our part to preserve this region for future generations.”
Christiansen Print will finish its full transition to tesa Twinlock® by the end of the year, thereby taking another step toward its successful future.
