Oak wood veneer edge trimmings give the shiny Christmas baubles an unusual hold - and cut a really good figure!
For this DIY Christmas Wreath we need:
3 rolls edge trimming in oak optics (wood band) 20 mm x 5 m, scissors, ruler, pencil, 34 mini Christmas baubles ø 2 cm, ribbon for decoration, tesa® Easy Cut Compact Desk Dispenser + tesafilm® Invisible
Time: approx. 1 hour.
For the 34 loops, cut 68 strips of wood band in a length of 14 cm. Place 2 strips with the insides on top of another and bend the ends into a loop. Be careful not to break the loops. Tear a 7-cm strip of tesafilm® from the dispenser.
Wrap the loop ends tightly with tesafilm®. Make another 33 loops.
Cut 3 x 70 cm strips. Bend a strip into a circle and fix it with tesafilm®. Now lay the other strips around the circle and fix them in several spots with tesafilm®. In the inner and outer rings, the wood sides are outside.
Now attach the loops alternately on the inside and outside of the ring using tesafilm®. Continue until the circle is closed. Be very careful with the last loops so they don't break.
Attach the ribbon, remove the caps from the baubles and put them in the loops.
