The surface where the screws are attached needs to be cleaned from all dust or grease. Make sure to use a cloth with water or pure alcohol.
Wall mounted coat rack - mounting without drilling
A coat rack is a great place to hang your clothes – without drilling It’s so nice to have a good coat rack, by the door or in the foyer. But what about the walls? No need to worry – you can mount the rack without any damage, thanks to the tesa® adhesive screws. You’ll always know where to hang your hat!
We need:
This is how we do it:
Place the coat rack on the wall to see where to position the screws. Remove the protective film from the first adhesive screw.
Place the screw on the wall. It will stick so you can easily proceed to the next step.
Use the provided adhesive tube and squeeze its contents into the large hole until you can see the adhesive come out the small hole. Repeat for the second screw, in the right distance to attach the rack.
Allow 12 hours for the adhesive to dry. It will be solidly attached, secure enough to hold your coats, even in winter.
Add the decorative cap to the screw. Its silvery shine will make for a nice touch underneath the rack.
Attach the coat rack to the screws and fasten it.
And now you can hang your clothes on the rack, right where you need them.
As easy as attaching is, as easy is it to remove the screws again. After disconnecting the rack itself, use pliers to twist the adhesive screws off the wall.
A scraper comes into play to eliminate any adhesive still stuck to the wall. Not a trace will be left behind.
