Norderstedt – tesa, international manufacturer of innovative adhesive tapes and self-adhesive product solutions, presents a groundbreaking innovation in its tesafilm® range: For the first time, the classic comes to market with a paper-based carrier material. The new tesafilm® Paper impresses with high transparency when applied and features the familiar tesafilm® quality. The single-sided multi-purpose adhesive tape can be easily torn by hand and offers versatile applications for everyday use, home DIY projects, or office use.
With the new tesafilm® Paper, tesa expands its range with another more sustainable alternative alongside tesafilm® Eco & Crystal. Introduced last year, tesafilm® Eco & Crystal features a carrier film made from 90 percent recycled PET, an adhesive mass made from water-based acrylate, and a roll core manufactured from 100 percent industrial plastic processing residues. This underlines tesa's consistent commitment to greater sustainability.
Focus on sustainability and user-friendliness
tesafilm® Paper also stands out for its more sustainable material properties. The carrier material of the adhesive tape comes from certified forests and other controlled sources. The INGEDE-12 test confirms that the product does not impair the recycling of paper and cardboard. "The new tesafilm® Paper is a strong innovation with which we are expanding our well-known tesafilm® range and continuously optimizing product sustainability. It is in no way inferior to its siblings and convinces with the familiar tesa quality," says Hilde Cambier, Head of New Product and Business Development Consumer at tesa. "Initial discussions with our partners and specialist retailers confirm that we are on the right track with tesafilm® Paper. We are meeting the demand for more sustainable products while offering a new, high-quality solution that is particularly versatile and functional."
Versatility for office and home Use
The new tesafilm® Paper is perfectly suited for both professional and private use. A particular advantage is shown when used on documents: The adhesive tape is copy-neutral, and text readability remains fully preserved. The tape can also be written on with various writing tools such as permanent markers, pencils, and ink rollers, making it an ideal organizational helper.
The newcomer to the tesafilm® range is now available in specialist stores and will be available to end consumers from September. tesafilm® Paper is initially being launched in sizes 10m x 19mm and 33m x 19mm. Additional range expansions are in planning.
