During the event, the company showcased AI's business value and introduced its new AI Charta for responsible AI integration across all operations at tesa.
From enablement to operational excellence
Hosted at the company's headquarters with parallel events at global locations, tesa’s first AI Day showcased practical AI applications in product development, manufacturing, and quality control. The program demonstrated tesa’s commitment to innovation through comprehensive AI training and skills development initiatives, enabling employees to deliver enhanced value to customers.
AI transformation with partnerships and technologies
tesa has already achieved significant progress in AI implementation. The company demonstrates its innovation leadership and commitment to enhancing employee productivity through AI with several key initiatives: the early deployment of a custom large language model called tesa GPT in 2023, a strengthened collaboration with AI Data Cloud company Snowflake focusing on Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT) and Industry 5.0; and the global integration of Microsoft 365 Copilot, which is now accessible to all employees worldwide.
“AI is fundamentally transforming our business, driving efficiency and unlocking new potential across our products, technologies, and work culture,” says Dr. Norman Goldberg CEO of tesa SE. “Through our comprehensive digital strategy, which focuses on holistic implementation, clear business alignment and continuous training, we are already seeing clear results. We are well on our way to delivering smarter solutions to our customers while ensuring a responsible approach to AI. We are sending a strong message to our global organization to advance AI initiatives decisively and position tesa for the future.”
Reveal of AI Charta as strategic foundation
The tesa AI Charta - presented at this week AI Day - is based on three core pillars: operational efficiency in manufacturing and quality control, improved customer interaction throughout the journey, and accelerated technology and product development. It creates a strong foundation for expanding AI capabilities within the company.
"This framework guides our AI initiatives. We’re implementing AI holistically across people, data, technology, and governance, ensuring our entire organization is equipped with AI knowledge and maintains the right mindset. Rethinking business models and the way we work in response to AI and digital transformation needs to be emphasized. Companies that fail to do so risk being left behind as market dynamics shift at an unprecedented pace," says Dr. Jörg Diesfeld, CFO at tesa.
