Norderstedt, July 21, 2026 – tesa, an international manufacturer of innovative adhesive tapes and self-adhesive product solutions, is expanding its insect protection portfolio with a new offering: with the new tesa® Insect Stop custom-made fly screen, customers can now configure insect protection solutions online — individually tailored to their window dimensions and preferred design. The fly screen is manufactured to fit precisely, delivered fully assembled, and can be inserted directly into the window frame. As the market leader in the German DIY market for fly screen solutions, tesa combines precision customization with a particularly simple user experience through this new offering, while also opening up a new digital business field. Unlike hiring a craftsperson — with appointments and waiting times — made-to-measure insect protection becomes a simple online purchase: customers measure and configure, and tesa takes care of the rest.
The perfect protection against mosquitoes and other insects
Mosquito season is starting increasingly earlier and becoming more intense — mild winters and damp springs encourage reproduction. Tropical mosquitoes are also spreading more widely.

Whether in the bedroom, children’s room, kitchen, or home office — tesa® Insect Stop custom-made fly screens provide fast and reliable protection wherever it is needed. Simply unpack, insert into the window — done, in just a few minutes per window. The sturdy aluminum frames are weather-resistant and, thanks to drill-free hanging or simple clamp mounting, can be removed again at any time without tools — ideal for rental apartments, too. The close-meshed Clear View mesh provides high-quality protection while maintaining good visibility and ventilation. All versions are manufactured to professional standards and come with a ten-year guarantee.
At launch, the offering includes two window solutions: the tesa® INSECT STOP tension frame for hanging installation and the tesa® INSECT STOP FRAME-IN for clamp mounting inside the window frame. Further solutions — including for doors and light wells — are already in development. The tesa® Insect Stop custom-made fly screens are available from €125, depending on window size and configuration.
