30 Years of tesa Türkiye: A success story for Türkiye and the Middle East

Norderstedt - tesa, international manufacturer of innovative adhesive tapes and self-adhesive product solutions, celebrates the 30th anniversary of tesa Türkiye. The office in Istanbul was opened in December 1994. Initially, seven employees worked here – today, the location employs more than 40 people and is the driving force behind tesa's expansion in the Middle East, Türkiye and Africa. tesa Türkiye thus continues the company's international success story in an important geographical region. Here, too, the company’s successful corporate strategy applies: developing and offering innovative, high-performance adhesive tapes instead of mass products for key markets.

In 2025, tesa not only has its regional headquarters in Istanbul but also a processing center and a warehouse in Turkey. tesa Türkiye benefits from Türkiye's advantageous geographical location as a hub between Europe, Asia, and Africa, an economically promising region. tesa Türkiye focuses primarily on key markets such as the automotive, packaging, and home appliance industries.

Flexo products are the strongest product range

"Our strongest product range in Turkey is flexo products," explains Dr. Mete Konuralp, Regional Manager META. "The automotive and home appliance industries are also important, with the ACXplus adhesive tape range playing a major role in the automotive industry. Our goal is to continue growing in the region. To achieve this, we want to streamline our structures and develop new markets. To drive this growth, we are focusing on building strong local teams," adds Konuralp looking ahead to the target year of 2030. This is expected to be another milestone in tesa Türkiye’s success story.
