What you will do
You will be responsible for governing and continuously improving product quality performance within an assigned Business Unit at tesa, covering both products in development and released products. In this role, you ensure that quality, compliance, and process excellence are embedded throughout the product lifecycle. Working closely with development teams, sales and marketing organizations, and other quality functions in tesa, you actively contribute to harmonized product quality standards and a strong quality mindset across the organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Govern Business Unit product quality performance across development and released products, ensuring alignment with tesa quality objectives
- Ensure product compliance during development by enforcing internal specifications, regulatory requirements, customer‑specific standards, and defined release criteria
- Support and challenge development teams to embed quality and compliance by design, including risk assessments (e.g. FMEA), validation concepts, and structured change management
- Analyze non‑production, specification‑related complaints in collaboration with regional organizations worldwide and drive sustainable improvements
- Lead and harmonize global product quality and Business Unit–related process management initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement of quality and process management to increase efficiency and compliance within the Business Unit
- Coordinate global quality training activities and actively promote a strong quality mindset across Business Units
- Report product quality performance, performance indicators, and improvement progress to the Business Unit Head and the Global Quality team
What you will need
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; additional certifications or quality‑related training are an advantage
- Extensive practical experience in quality management, preferably within a corporate or multi‑site environment
- Strong knowledge of product quality management across the product lifecycle, ideally within development and industrial contexts
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey quality requirements, standards, and training content across global teams
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills to influence, support, and challenge stakeholders across functions and regions
- Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills and proficiency in data analysis to drive fact‑based decisions
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in a fast‑paced environment, with high attention to detail
