Financial Analyst

*We are flexible to hire based on a work location of  Charlotte, North Carolina, Grand Rapids, Michigan, or Novi, Michigan

The position is responsible for assisting in controlling activities for ttNA including Industrial Sales, Market Management, Sparta Production and converting, warehousing and financial analysis. Additionally, this position is responsible for assisting in Corporate Reporting and Planning servicing ttNA functions as well as headquarter functions (tesa SE). The Financial Analyst will create, maintain and analyze sales performance across tesa tape, North America while also supporting the  process of setting annual sales quotas.

Job Responsibilities:

Reporting and Planning Responsibilities on the Corporate Level ttNA
  • Assist in the Corporate Annual Business Planning process (ABP) for both tti and TTM
  • Participate in the preparation all Standard Reports to tesa SE in a timely and accurate manner, e.g. Forecast I-V, Quarterly Reports, Monthly Commentary
Responsibilities for Tools and Systems (Joint)
  • Ownership for the Corporate Sales and Margin Reporting System
  • Ownership for the Corporate Sales Forecasting System.
  • Assist in fixed cost and standard costing related controlling activities.
  • Ensure that internal reporting is compliant with the tesa SE defined formats
Sales Analysis
  • Provide monthly sales summary reports & analysis to Sales, Marketing and Management Team. This includes the monthly preparation, analysis and comment writing of the variance analysis as well as the discussion about the individual effects in this variance analysis for tti and TTM
  • Review sales policies, procedures and commission reports with new Territory Managers. Update any changes to this information
  • Manage the Point of Sale customers: retrieve data from customers, maintain data in SAP and align with the proper sales territories for accurate sales reporting and analysis
  • Upon request, prepare sales statistics for specific distributors sales members
  • Prepare and distribute monthly strategic partner reports
  • Process payments for rebates and dealer specific promotions
  • Keep log for new distributor applicants and keep Inside Sales, Sales Specialist, and Sales Managers updated on their status. Check daily with credit department regarding status. Input customer codes in SAP when application process is complete
  • Maintain strategic and tesanet partners account information in SAP
  • Analyze customer purchases monthly and update SAP with price codes if necessary
  • Coordinate territory realignments and structure (maintain POS and make changes in SAP related to territory changes)
  • Update territory listings and corresponding territory maps as necessary
  • Update Sales Analyst / Sales Administrator procedure manual as needed
  • Distribute backup reports on a monthly basis (these reports include MTD Billing, POS and commission information)
Additional Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all processes and procedures in the area of responsibility are compliant with rules defined by tesa SE, ttNA or International Accounting Standards
  • Where necessary, ensure consistency between the segments in Supply Chain related procedures, e.g. for sourcing policies
  • Support process improvement efforts with internal clients
  • Provide training to clients on topics in finance and controlling tools
  • Support special segment project work where necessary as determined by Management Team
  • Act as a backup for the accounting team
  • Assist the Finance team as needed during period end closings

Qualifications:
  • Minimum BS degree in Business with focus in Accounting and/or Finance
  • 3 to 5 years experience with demonstrable performance / achievements
  • Strong analytical, communication and logical skills.
  • Excellent Skills in MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
  • Limited travel is required
