Job Summary
The Cost Estimator collects and analyzes data in order to estimate the time, money, materials, and labor required to manufacture a product or provide a service using established resources. The position will focus on the Twin Lock product assortment, but will also have other areas of responsibility.

Key Tasks
  • Reviews and analyzes customer RFQs, orders and/or other contract documents to determine the overall project scope and requirements.
  • Prepares finished product cost and specifications, including itemized materials.
  • Develops project schedule in conjunction with the quote.
  • Determines accurate quantities and related materials as measured from provided plan sets.
  • Communicates with sales teams and plant Intra-Company Pricing.
  • Manages quoting and costing process for assigned raw materials.
  • Assists with new product creation process, BOMs, target price and Intra-Company Pricing.
  • Maintains master data integrity within plant SAP.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • An associate’s degree and 2 years of related experience, or a high school diploma or GED and 4 years of related experience.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Windows, etc.
  • Must have experience with MRP reports, data entry and interpretation of data, preferably in SAP.
  • Detail oriented with a proven track record of accuracy.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in bid preparation, sales or related industry experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to work within the framework of 6S, ISO and IATF requirements
