What you will do
The Head of Global Logistics Development is part of the Global Logistics within the Global Supply Chain Management at tesa. From our Headquarters in Norderstedt we design and shape tesa's global logistics setup and processes.
- You lead, coach and continuously develop a team of up to 9 high‑performing Project Managers and Global Key Users, fostering a strong delivery and improvement culture.
- You own and steer the global portfolio and roadmap of mid‑ to large‑scale logistics initiatives, focusing on scalable improvements and technological enhancements with global impact.
- You actively shape and co‑develop tesa’s global logistics strategy and drive its translation into concrete, executable initiatives together with regions and corporate functions.
- You actively manage and align a broad set of stakeholders, including the Global Process Owner, regional operations, corporate functions and external logistics service providers.
- You drive the global harmonization and continuous development of end‑to‑end logistics processes and systems, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA‑based solutions, acting as a key interface between business and IT.
- You ensure that logistics development initiatives contribute measurably to performance improvements, cost efficiency, digitalization and sustainability targets.
What you will need
- University degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering or a comparable field.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience, including leadership responsibility in a global, matrix‑driven environment.
- Strong end‑to‑end understanding of logistics concepts, services and operating models.
- Proven experience in managing global project portfolios and leading cross‑functional, international teams without formal authority.
- Hands‑on experience in several of the following areas:
TMS conceptualization and implementation (preferred), 3PL/4PL models, logistics service provider management, SAP logistics process design & implementation, service level management, tendering and onboarding of logistics providers. - Strong ability to influence, align and convince stakeholders across organizational and cultural boundaries.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
- Fluent English required.
