The backing material of tesa^® 60412 consists of 70% of recycled PET bottles (so-called post consumer recycled PET) that have been shredded, melted, and then granulated. This granulate is then transformed into backing material for packaging tape. This metamorphosis makes even the strongest superhero turn "green" with envy.

Yet tesa^® 60412 not only gives old PET bottles a makeover; it also shines with strength, stamina and other abilities – just as a hero should. It has a transparent backing material with excellent thermal stability and tensile strength combined with a water-based acylate adhesive featuring strong adhesion. This makes the tape the perfect solution for light to medium-weight packaging used in the industrial sector.

tesa^® 60412 belongs to an innovative range that focuses on packaging tapes made from bio-based or recycled raw materials. Among others, this series includes tapes that are made with corn or paper base. With tesa^® 60412, we have developed an innovative product that fits into the range perfectly. It is a direct descendant of our classic packaging range and combines high product standards with a better contribution to sustainability – simply a true tape hero," adds Cueto.
