What you will do
As a Regional Demand Planner, you will play a crucial role in defining tesa’s sales volume forecast for your assigned scope of responsibility (Regional Business Unit in tesa Europe). In this role you can be based in one of the following European offices; Hamburg, Milan, Amsterdam or Copenhagen and can work in a hybrid setup (3 days/week in the office, 2 days/week remote).
Your highly accurate forecasting will signal to tesa manufacturing and sourcing teams what the regional supply needs are expected to be. Your tasks will include:
Ensure the on time and complete execution of the daily, weekly, and monthly forecasting activities with the aim of achieving the best possible forecast accuracy and value add metrics
Maintain the regional consensus forecast by executing (at least) the following core processes on a monthly basis:
Detailed Root Cause Analysis of previous month’s KPI results and consequent (future) forecast adjustment
Identification of forecast adjustment opportunities by usage of relevant reports
Statistical Forecast Enrichment by regular adjustment of demand history (e.g., in the event of promos, shortages, etc.)
Handling of forecast for products in shortage
New Product Introduction (NPI) Forecasting
Event Forecasting (e.g., Projects, Promos & Campaigns)
Monthly Business Volume Review meeting with the Reg. Business Unit (RBU) leadership and Controlling
Perform risk analysis, prepare different scenarios, and drive discussions at senior management level to take critical forecast related decisions
Lead direct meetings with relevant business stakeholders (e.g., sales, marketing, finance) to obtain relevant market information
Develop and implement strategies that improve demand forecasting accuracy and efficiency
Be a driver of the harmonization of the Regional Demand Planning processes and continuous improvement (CIP)
Directly lead assigned projects within the regional scope and participate as an expert in assigned projects (regional or global)
Broaden the understanding of demand planning principles for the stakeholders in the process
Provide mutual support and back-up in the demand planning team, assisting members in developing their skills and enhancing their knowledge.
What you will need
University degree with preferred Supply Chain specialization (IBF / APICS certification as a plus)
5+ years of experience in a demand planning role (OMP+ tool knowledge is a plus) within a matrix organized multinational company
Very good written and spoken English skills (C1 level or higher)
Track record to drive continous improvement (Project Management skills as a plus)
Capability to liaise with and influence senior stakeholders (e.g., sales mgmt) to enable the forecast enrichment process
Skilled communicator and negotiator (eg. ABP, PNS reconciliation) able to stand difficult conversations/stakeholders
Strong in analytical and logical thinking
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent organization skills
Ability to work under pressure, meeting tough deadlines
Ability to work in a multi-cultural, international and virtual environment
Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe
