Icy Lanterns

We need: glass lanterns (jam or stock jars will do), sturdy paper for the stencils, star templates, scissors, pencil, rubber gloves, ice spray, masking tape, ribbon, small twigs, pine cones for decoration.

Tape together a few strips of masking tape on a flat surface. The pieces should overlap slightly and be big enough to fit the star stencil. Trace the stars using the stencils.

Remove the masking tape in one piece.

Use the template to cut out the stars

Tape the stars to the lanterns.

According to the instructions on the packaging, spray ice spray onto the lanterns in a well-ventilated area.

Let them dry, then remove the stars – the lanterns can be decorated with ribbon, pine cones and twigs.
