Job Summary

The Financial Analyst position is responsible for Cost accounting of the FuCo production in Newburyport & Seabrook, assisting in controlling activities for FuCo including Annual Business planning, sales controlling and financial analysis, as well as Corporate Reporting and Planning servicing ttNA functions as well as headquarter functions (tesa SE).


  1. Cost accounting & Responsibilities for Tools and Systems
  • Ownership of fixed cost and standard costing planning for FuCo production
  • Supporting Corporate Sales and Margin Reporting System
  • Ensure that internal reporting is compliant with the tesa SE defined formats
  1. General Duties
  • Support that all decisions, such as strategies, launches, foreign exchange pricing impacts, pricing systems, compensation plans, promotions, make vs. buy, contingencies and commitments are taken with the appropriate understanding of financial effects for FuCo as completed by controlling.
  • Conduct monthly and other period end financial analysis as provided by Accounting.
  • Assist in the Forecasting and Planning duties for FuCo  
  • Proactively supply analyses and business recommendations on deviations, trends, and opportunities for business areas of interest, e.g. standard costing, customers,
  • Provide appropriate performance measurement tools. Discover additional information needs. Secure development of appropriate tools / solutions for FuCo with a focus on production.
  • Support the finance manager in providing numbers monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for reports for FuCo, ttNA, Corporate and external parties
  1. Reporting and Planning Responsibilities
  • Support the Annual Business Planning process (ABP) for FuCo
  • Support Analyzing, Budgeting, Reporting, Forecasting
  • Participate in the preparation all Std Reports to tesa SE in a timely and accurate manner, e.g. Forecast I-V, Quarterly Reports, Monthly Commentary, T-Rex, CIS
  1. Investment Projects
  • Participate in the planning and forecasting of the Corporate Capital Investment Budget
  • Ensure that Investment Requests are accurate and in line with tesa SE regulations.
  • Responsible for capital spending in production
  • Carry out ‘Make or Buy’ Analyses where appropriate.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Ensure with the support of the Finance Manager that all processes and procedures in the area of responsibility are compliant with rules defined by tesa SE, ttNA or International Accounting Standards.
  • Support process improvement efforts with internal clients.
  • Support special segment project work where necessary as determined by Management.
  • Minimum BS degree in Business with focus in Accounting and Plant cost accounting
  • 3 to 5 years experience with demonstrable performance / achievements
  • Strong analytical, communication and logical skills
  • Excellent Skills in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • SAP B1 experience preferred
  • Limited travel is required
