Sales and Trade Marketing Assistant

The Sales and Trade Marketing Assistant is responsible for supporting and executing sales and trade-marketing programs (the marketing mix) established by the Region to support internal personnel and nurture current / prospective customers in target markets. 

Responsibilities:
  • In collaboration with the region’s MARCOM management group, coordinate and support internal and external communications / execute events as directed (including planning, budget management, and development of communication materials for: events, advertisements and others as required) vendor selection, contract negotiations, logistics, etc.):
    • Trade show selection and participation in alignment with BU leadership and regional Marcom management
    • Coordination for Trade Show participation (contracts, elements needed, material development and promotional items)
    • Support coordination and execution of special events per business segment
    • Other events as deemed appropriate
    • Promotional literature as aligned with regional Marcom management
    • Advertising media selection and media development
  • The Sales and Trade Marketing Assistant is in charge of putting together the Year Activity Plan (YAP) together with the Sales Managers of the affiliate. (S) He has to keep track of this YAP and organize all the activities established in the plan (Trade Shows, Tech Days, Lunch and Learns, etc.)
  • In coordination with the Regional Marketing Dept., the Sales and Trade Marketing Assistant is responsible for market intelligence activities relevant for the Mexican market and is the local brand ambassador
  • Also is responsible for Mexico’s Samples budget, supporting the logistics department attending the sales team requests for material and coordinating the logistics involved in the process with USA and Germany’s sample departments, as well as support the samples warehouse in Mexico responsible.
  • Maintain communications list within ERP, LMS, CRM, etc.
  • Support local coordination of lead management as assigned by regional digital marketing team
  • Document sales leads resulting from direct trade marketing activities
  • Translations to Spanish as required
  • Manage promotional materials and souvenirs stock for the sales team to promote the brand
  • Responsible to purchase material and services for trade marketing and communication in through the different options and platforms of purchase: ERP, LMS, CRM, etc.)
  • Support and/or Coordination of ttM’s integration activities
  • Support of country event planning and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Professional study in communications, marketing, graphic design or equivalent work experience
  • Must be highly organized and efficient, with proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, graphic design software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Work with third party suppliers developing trade marketing material
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize as necessary
  • Able to work with a variety of external vendors and to negotiate best pricing
  • Able to effectively support internal clients (sales team) and follow up on their request
  • English proficiency required
  • Able and willing to travel up to 70% of the time
