Even for owners, drilling is often already a challenge in terms of craftsmanship and leaves permanent holes in the bathroom. But often it is necessary to change the position of the hook. With tesa® Power.Kit technology, you can attach towel hooks and much more without damaging tiles and grout lines by drilling. You don't need any tools or manual dexterity.
Each set consists of the following components:
- Waterproof special adhesive that holds securely on almost all smooth and load-bearing surfaces and can be removed without leaving any residue.
- Adapter ring made of metal that ensures a firm connection between tiles, adhesive and towel hook.

Attach towel hooks - how it works
Bathroom design can not be simpler. Below you will find detailed information on how to stick your towel hook. In addition, each package of the tesa® Power.Kit technology series contains richly illustrated instructions.
- Select the location where you want to attach your towel hook.For the tesa® adhesive to stick to the tile, the surface must be free of dust, grease, lime, and other residues. Use a clean, soft cloth for basic cleaning. Please do not use any non-stick cleaning agents or cleaners containing silicone, as these substances impair the adhesive effect. After basic cleaning, clean with rubbing alcohol. If a cleaning cloth is included with your accessory, please use it.
- Remove the adapter ring from the package and remove the foil from the adhesive surface on the back.
- Place the adapter ring in the desired location and press it firmly against the tile.
- Now everything is ready and the tesa® Power.Kit technology can be used.
- Open the applicator with the applicator key and insert the opening into the larger hole in the adapter ring.
- Using the key, press adhesive into the adapter until some adhesive comes out on the smaller opening of the adapter.
- Now the back of the adapter is completely filled with adhesive and creates a secure bond with the tile surface.
- At this point, you will need patience. The adhesive needs to cure for twelve hours. Do not touch the adapter during this time and definitely do not check if it holds.
- After the waiting period, simply place your towel hook on the adapter and tighten the screw with an Allen wrench.
How to remove the towel hook for gluing without leaving any residue
If you want to remove the towel hook now, do not worry about damage or residue. First remove the hook from the adapter by loosening the screw. Now grasp the adapter ring with a pipe wrench and turn it vigorously until it comes off. You can now remove any remaining adhesive with a scraper or brush. By the way, the tesa® Power.Kit adapter fits various bathroom articles and can also be used with a different attachment, e.g. as a hairdryer holder. Of course, the adapter is also available separately, so you can use your tesa® bathroom accessories multiple times.
