Additional Info
To prevent adhesive picking at the edges, which can lead to problems in the paint process, the material has to be stored in original packaging and in a clean and particle free environment.
High-temperature PET masking film for automotive paint jobs
tesa® 51108 combines a polyester backing and a thermosetting adhesive to achieve the optimal performance for high-quality automotive paint jobs. The temperature resistance of up to 150°C(302°F)/1h and the high tensile strength provide an ideal usage for two-tone painting on car bodies at the automotive OEM or on bumpers at OES, especially if long straight lines are required. Due to the low thickness of 54 µm/2.1 mils, the tape creates extra sharp paint lines.
Standardized and customized applicators for tesa® 51108 are available to ensure efficient tape application.
