tesa SE Appoints Tobias Banik as Plant Manager of tesa Plant Sparta, LLC



SPARTA, Mich. February 20, 2018 tesa SE announces the appointment of Tobias Banik as the plant manager of tesa Plant Sparta, LLC based in Michigan. This appointment is effective March 1, 2018. In his new role, Banik will manage the plant’s operations and oversee 75 employees. Previously, Banik served as the head of production at tesa Plant Hamburg in Germany. Banik will report to Brad Boelkins, director of operations for tesa tape in North America.

Tobias' extensive experience in manufacturing, new product development, and resource planning will be a strong asset and help us to optimally support our customers, especially in the automotive industry, with future-oriented products."

With eight years of experience within tesa, Banik has served in a variety of engineer and production management positions. Banik was essential in the development and manufacturing of tesa’s premier ACXplus line. Banik will succeed Dr. Kai Filbrandt, who served as the plant manager in Sparta for four years. Filbrandt has been appointed the head of production at tesa Plant Hamburg.

tesa Plant Sparta manufactures tensilized polypropylene strapping tapes as wells as environmentally-friendly, water-based acrylic adhesives.
