Adhesives probably aren’t what comes to mind when thinking about sustainability. Little by little, seemingly small decisions add up and help to improve your efforts. And if you can switch to more sustainable tapes and adhesives, why wouldn’t you?

Our long-term strategic goal is to use 100% sustainable raw materials for our products. Engineering more sustainable tapes and adhesives has a knock-on effect on the automotive, electrical, and construction industries, as well as the consumer. We plan to reduce our use of non-recycled fossil plastics and replace them with recycled and bio-based materials.

In 2023, we launched 40 new products with sustainable contribution.

Sustainability is a culture change for any organization, and we’re no different. As we’re sure you and your company have ambitions for a sustainable future, so do we. Our goals are to:

Debonding on Demand technologies

Our debonding on demand technologies are boosting the circular economy. Having the ability to remove tapes without leaving residue allows manufacturers to correct errors, make repairs, and optimize the position of parts and components with less waste than before.  It also means that dismantling products at the end of their life cycle is easier. This enables more possibilities to recover, reuse, and recycle valuable materials. Find out more sustainable tapes enabling debonding when its required.

One small step towards your sustainability journey
It takes one change to start something incredible. Sourcing something as small as the tapes and adhesives you use goes a long way. From sourcing raw materials more responsibly, using recycled or bio-based materials, to solvent-free adhesives. We can work together to drive change.

Patch instead of plug

How tesa® 4713 packaging tape helped Sellpy meet its sustainability goals

To improve the sustainability of their packaging materials, Sellpy and aPak — Sellpy’s packaging suppliers — wanted to provide their end-users with recycling-friendly packaging. This meant replacing their plastic tapes with a recycling-friendly option.
At Sellpy, we want to empower our customers to live circular. This applies to the items they buy and the packaging that comes with them. This is why our partnership with aPak and tesa has been so important. They’ve helped us achieve more sustainable packaging top-to-bottom.
