Product description

tesa® 4957 is a double sided PE foam tape, consisting of a highly conformable closed cell PE-foam backing and a tackified acrylic adhesive. The foam tape offers a highly versatile adhesive for high immediate adhesion on numerous types of substrates and high immediate bonding strength even at low bonding pressure. tesa® 4957 features excellent resistance to water, UV and ageing, making it fully suitable for outdoor use. The double sided foam tape is capable of compensating for different thermal expansions of different materials. tesa® 4957 features excellent cold shock absorption. tesa® 4957 is ideally used for general mounting applications and has been externally certified for furniture mirror mounting. tesa® 4957 has also been tested and approved by the IFT institute for window bar mounting.

tesa® 4957 has been tested and approved by IFT institute for window bar mounting. The test includes UV, driving rain and windload. (IFT report number 509 30742/1).

tesa® 4957 has been tested by TÜV Rheinland, Germany. The test confirms the longterm adhesion performance after IEC 61215 / 61646 climate tests and a 85°C temperature resistance. (TÜV report number 21209595).

Peel Adhesion:
- immediately: foam splitting on Steel, Aluminium, ABS, PC, PS, PET, PVC
- after 14 days: foam splitting on Steel, Aluminium, ABS, PC, PS, PET, PVC
