tesa SE Acquires the Twinlock Product Division from Polymount

CHARLOTTE, N.C. March 6, 2018 tesa SE announces the acquisition of the Twinlock product division from the company Polymount. Through this acquisition, tesa strengthens its market position in the printing industry, one of the pillars of tesa's industrial business, and is able to provide joint solutions from a single source.

“The self-adhesive Twinlock sleeves from Polymount optimally complement our existing tesa range for the flexographic printing industry,” said Dr. Norman Goldberg, head of direct industries at tesa SE. “This makes it easier for us to tap into the full potential of the segment.”

Headquartered in Nijkerk, Netherlands, Polymount develops, produces, and distributes innovative products that accelerate processes in flexographic printing, reducing costs. Developed in 2002, the self-adhesive Twinlock sleeve, is based on the method of mounting printing plates on sleeves and cylinders without the use of double-sided adhesive tapes.

Founded 16 years ago, Polymount has 70 employees worldwide and in 2017, generated sales of 18.5 million Euro. Polymount’s innovative products are distributed in more than 80 countries. In the U.S., Polymount has a sales office in Newnan, Ga. Moving forward, this office will be known as Graphics Applications, LLC, doing business as tesa Twinlock.

“Ever since the foundation of Polymount, we have managed to grow consistently and establish a strong global market position in the flexographic industry,” said Jan Willem Boers, CEO of Polymount International BV. “Under the umbrella of tesa SE, with its global infrastructures, as well as its leading position in the printing and paper sector, we have the opportunity to expand this success on an even broader basis.”
