As the Head of Air & Waterproofing, this person will be responsible to develop and implement the regional strategy to drive sales growth for Air & Waterproofing (AWP) in North America. Additionally, they will contribute strongly to the overall PNS and ROS ambition for AWP & Region NAM annual and mid-term financial targets. An important pillar to our overall growth ambitions in NAM by developing a market relevant product portfolio to allow for a meaningful go-to-market strategy.

As the Head of Air & Waterproofing, this person will be responsible to develop and implement the regional strategy to drive sales growth for Air & Waterproofing (AWP) in North America. Additionally, they will contribute strongly to the overall PNS and ROS ambition for AWP & Region NAM annual and mid-term financial targets. An important pillar to our overall growth ambitions in NAM by developing a market relevant product portfolio to allow for a meaningful go-to-market strategy.
How you'll help the formula:
- Responsible for year on year of profitable growth of the AWP business
- Effective project pipeline development and management of new business acquisition
- Creating and implementing the regional go-to-market strategy
- Maintain business management practices; develop corrective action plans to maintain performance to business plan
- Responsible for building the organization according to business needs, leading all direct reports to maximize their professional performance and personal growth.
- This includes establishment of objectives, sales policies and procedures, conducting regular appraisal conversations and making compensation recommendations (including bonus plan development)
- As a member of the Regional Leadership Team for North America, the Head of AWP will help shape the North American Strategy within scope of the global strategy
- Participate in inter-disciplinary regional or global strategic projects, where needed
- Defining and implementing the regional offering, with priority on regional production
- Additional responsibility for defining and implementing adequate and efficient business processes
- Ensures comprehensive and consistent reporting of product requirements, application specifics and other related marketing issues for North America within his/her responsible focus market areas
Key elements for your role:
- University degree
- Minimum of 8 years in sales and/or marketing leadership with a strong record of achievement
- At least 5 years of experience managing direct reports
- Experience driving results through ownership of P&L
- Strategic thinking, team leadership and development, strong presentation abilities, and effective communication across cultures and organizational levels are essential for success
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM
- Preferred elements:
- Background in the building and construction industry
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate within global, matrixed organizations
- MBA or other advanced degree
