Precision die cuts for permanent hole covering of venting holes

Product description

tesa® 54321 is a thick PET-fleece with acrylic adhesive. This product is optimized for the automotive industry to cover venting holes.
The product is designed as a die cut, where the inner ring zone is free of adhesive to generate the venting effect. The outer ring zone is coated with a strong adhesive to ensure permanent bonding.

Thick PET-fleece prevents PU-foam from oozing out during infusion process

Application Fields

Expanding PU-foams are often used to reduce NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) and provide additional stiffness by local reinforcement of body structures for crash and energy management.
tesa® 54321 venting tape prevents squeezing out of the PU-foam during the infusion and foaming process by allowing air flow through the non-coated fleece backing and thereby avoiding excess pressure.

Value of peel adhesion is based on the part of the product that is equipped with an adhesive tape. The value for the finished product can differ.
In addition to our standard product we offer 54321 PV1 version. 54321 PV1 is equipped with a special release liner for paint shop appliations. Our product solutions can also be customized with finger tabs.
