Tough Pre-Bond Masking Tape
Product description
tesa® 51109 is a tough PET masking tape to reliably mask off the c-side (back side of molded parts) of attachment parts to prevent paint overspray from getting on areas of the bonding area. tesa® 51109 masking tape stays in place during the entire paint process including a power wash step. Fast removal in one piece without any adhesive residues even after various oven cycles or pre-treatment of attachment parts.

Application Fields
Prevention of paint overspray to get on areas of the (USW) bonding area as this makes the bonding of parts in the car interior and exterior very challenging. USW-Welds or liquid glue require a clean and unpainted plastic surface to ensure a secure bonding.
