SPARTA, Mich. – April 26, 2018 – tesa Plant Sparta, LLC completes its plant expansion, and production continues at its manufacturing facility in Sparta, Mich. The $20 million investment will strengthen tesa’s growing North American business as well as create jobs.

With this completion, we expand our North American capabilities in coating and converting, as well as increase our production capacities.”
Located at 324 South Union Avenue, the plant expansion added approximately 24,000 square feet to house innovative coating, adhesive mixing and converting technology. The plant manufactures tensilized polypropylene strapping tapes as wells as environmentally-friendly, water-based acrylic adhesives. In addition to the automotive market, tesa manufactures products in Sparta engineered to supply diverse global markets such as appliance, food packaging, and many others.
New jobs were added in manufacturing, process engineering and research and development, with employment at the facility nearing 100. tesa also has an Automotive Solution Center in Novi, Mich. and operates its primary North American warehouse in Grand Rapids, Mich.
