What you'll do:
- Respond to machine breakdowns to reduce technical downtime using mechanical, electrical and PLC troubleshooting skills
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Complete work order requests for improvements and non-breakdown repairs
- Work with the production, engineering and quality teams to improve safety, quality and efficiency throughout the plant
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic devices and pumps
- Obtain parts and services from vendors by completing purchase requisitions and obtaining quotes
- Operate tool room equipment to produce or repair machine parts
- Other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
- High School diploma or GED; secondary education in trade school preferred
- 5-10 years' experience in an industrial maintenance position
- Must be able to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
- A strong background of machine repair, machining and welding
- Experience with electrical component safety and troubleshooting
- Experience working with drives, motors, heating systems and automated equipment
- Troubleshooting experience with Allen Bradley PLC software (Logix 5000)
- Strong customer service attitude
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Computer literacy with Microsoft products
