Introducing tesa® Softprint neXt
When looking at mounting tape related processes at a flexo printer, we find three main steps that have to perform error-free to ensure efficiency targets can be met:
- Fast tape and plate mounting
- Uninterrupted print runs with securely mounted plates
- Smooth and easy plate and tape demounting
This results in the following requirements towards your plate mounting adhesive:
- A rather low tack of your adhesive during plate mounting, so that you can easily reposition a plate if needed
- During printing, you want a secure and strong bond, to keep plate edges down
- Once you are done printing, you want that strong bond to easily release to ensure a fast process and especially to avoid damage to the plate - no matter print run length, condition or cleaning process of the plate, you need demounting to remain effortless
What sounds like contradicting properties can now be achieved with tesa® Softprint neXt. Keeping the mounting and secure bonding properties you already trust, we have now improved the plate-side adhesive to also ensure easiest demounting processes.

Experience our tesa® Softprint easy application (EA) liner for extra smooth mounting: The structured liner creates micro channels in the adhesive to avoid air accumulation beneath the plate during the mounting and printing process. Available for selected products.
