tesa tape, inc. is a well-kept secret in northern Kent County. This tesa plant is 39+ years old with a small, family feel, but the benefits and rewards of a large, very successful global company based in Germany.

We're growing again with another manufacturing expansion that started in October.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor machine and associated packaging and handling equipment to produce high quality, pressure sensitive tape rolls.
  • Load/unload jumbo rolls on machine.
  • Assist with verifying that the material running is meeting required specifications.
  • Sort and pack products to quality standards.  Rewind or rework defective material to tesa quality standards.
  • Computer work: Enter orders, process transactions; obtain data
  • Complete production paperwork and perform inventories/cycle counts.        
  • Work in a group concept; self-motivated; and able and willing to be cross- functional.
  • Ability to work safely with sharp blades.                                                                  
  • Minimal unplanned absenteeism, excluding Michigan Paid Medical Leave.
Hiring Requirements:
  • High school graduate or GED, including basic math;
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively with others in English.
  • Mechanical skills or aptitude to be able to use tools provided;
  • Ability to use calculator and measuring tools, such as calipers.
  • Must be able to pay attention to details.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is helpful, but not required.
  • Stable work history with 2+ years at every job held.
  • Requires good hearing and correctable vision.
  • Stand up a significant part of the shift; lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Must be able to take rolls off a machine, reaching to a height of 6 feet.         
  • Hours: Any as required, including occasional overtime on Saturdays &/or Sundays.
