Digital Maintenance Application Management and Support Engineer

We are looking for a motivated Digital Maintenance Application & Project Engineer to support the global rollout, enhancement, and daily operation of our digital manufacturing maintenance platform Paledo, as well as contribute to broader digital manufacturing initiatives. The colleague will closely collaborate with our platform vendor, global key users, business, and IT to ensure time and costwise project success, stable operations, manage integrations, and drive continuous improvement.

1. Application Management & Operation

• Operate, maintain, and continuously improve our digital maintenance platform (Paledo).
• Be part of global project teams enhancing and rolling out new features and updates of the solution
• Ensure system performance, availability, and data integrity across plants.
• Develop and implement quality assurance concepts to ensure smooth updates
• Coordinate updates, patches, and enhancements with vendors and internal IT teams.
• Administer system roles, permissions, and documentation (knowledge articlesd) according to governance.

2. Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide L2/L3 support for digital maintenance applications.
• Troubleshoot issues related to SAP PM integration, data flows, user experience, and IoT/MES interfaces.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and collaborate with global teams and providers for sustainable fixes.
• Create and maintain knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures.

3. Integration & Data Management

• Support integration topics between Paledo, SAP PM, MES systems, IoT platforms, and cloud applications.
• Ensure consistent interface monitoring, data quality, and alignment between systems.

4. ITSM and Process Excellence

• Work according to ITSM standards, covering:
  • Incident Management
  • Change Management
  • Problem Management
  • Root-Cause Analysis
• Contribute to continuous improvement of service processes and documentation flows.

Educational qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.

Relevant professional experience

• Several years of experience with digital manufacturing maintenance solutions (mandatory).
• Exposure to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) processes in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) highly preferred.
• Experience with Paledo is a strong advantage (on‑the‑job training possible due to niche availability).
• Experience in system integration (ERP esp. SAP, MES, IoT, cloud solutions).
• Experience with ITSM/ITIL processes.
• Experience with quality assurance (system tests, feature tests, performance tests, test automation) desirable
