Strategic Procurement Manager (m/f/x)

Your Tasks

  • Ensuring compliance with requirements, processes and tools specified in tPN Procurement Guidelines
  • Acting as tPN main interface with designated internal stakeholders on taking sourcing lead in scouting materials and suppliers in Innovation Projects
  • managing specific suppliers by working in cross functional and cross regional teams
  • Managing relationship with internal stakeholders by be interested in and understanding the requirement from stakeholders.
  • Eager to look for procurement solutions that support business development of tesa
  • Understanding on the one hand company, business units and tPN strategies, on the other hand supply market development. Translate these into internally aligned business unit and/or material category procurement strategies and implement them in daily business practice
  • Ensuring compliance with tesa product development processes with regards to suppliers' credibility, innovation, total cost and product performance
  • Independently handling supplier negotiations from preparation to implementation and follow up
  • Being able to establish and conclude contracts with suppliers independently
  • Performing continuous market research with regards to the material categories in charge
  • Cross functional and international cooperation and collaboration on creating and implementing procurement solutions

Your Profile

  • Completed university Bachelor’s degree in economics, chemistry, or engineering with several years of relevant professional experience in an international and industrial context, preferable experience in chemical or automotive industry
  • In-depth knowledge of modern procurement processes and systems
  • Fundamental knowledge of material category management and product development processes
  • Extensive experience in cross-functional and international project management
  • SAP and PC knowledge (Microsoft Office)
  • Experience in cross-functional teamwork
  • Intercultural and internationally flexible
  • Open minded and proactive in looking for procurement solutions that meet internal customers' needs
  • Business fluent English and ideally spoken and written German as well
