How long does a window seal last?
Due to the materials, the durability of the respective window seals varies. You will find window seals with us that you should replace after two years and seals that last up to 15 years. Basically, it is perfectly sufficient to replace the window seals every 4 - 8 years.
When should I seal windows?
If temperatures remain consistently low despite the heating being on or if there is a draft, you should seal the windows as soon as possible. Condensation on the window can be another indication of leaky windows.
In what colors are door bottom seals available?
Our door bottom seals are available in various colors. Our door seal strip for uneven floors is available in white, brown, and stainless steel. The door seal for smooth floors is available in anthracite and white. For the self-adhesive door seal, you can choose between white, brown, and transparent. This way, you always find the perfect door seal for your door.
Which floors are suitable for door seals?
We have developed door bottom seals for (almost) all floors so that you always find the right door seal. Our draft stoppers for smooth floors and self-adhesive are suitable for parquet, laminate, wooden planks, and PVC floors. Our door seal strip is suitable for tiles, ceramics, and other uneven floors. Additionally, we have also developed self-adhesive door seals for textile floors, such as carpets.
Can windows be sealed with silicone?
Sealing windows with silicone is intended for the outside of the window. For window seals, the inside of the window is sealed at the window sash and window frame. Basically, silicone is suitable for sealing the outside of the window because silicone is water-repellent, weatherproof, and elastic.
