The adapter consists of a sintered metal plate (SMT) made of 95% copper, the rest is tin. The SMT plate is permeable to air and allows short curing times. In addition, the self-adhesive ring provides an edge for the adhesive. This allows for easy positioning in advance. Finally, the adapter includes a solid ring made of zamak, which allows easy installation of bathroom accessories.
The tesa® Power.Kit adhesive is based on a silyl-modified polymer. It tolerates moisture, which in turn means that the surfaces in your bathroom are the perfect environment for it.

Almost all solid or load-bearing smooth and rough surfaces are suitable. The tesa® Power.Kit system is especially predestined for high-quality materials such as stone, ceramics (tiles), glass, concrete, metal, wood, and many plastics, which you are usually reluctant to drill into and thus damage anyway. However, if these surfaces have been subsequently coated, painted, sealed, or impregnated, the load-bearing capacity suffers. Installation is then not recommended.
Loose and painted plaster or wallpaper as well as textile substrates are rather unsuitable for such surface fastening due to their lack of strength and load-bearing capacity.
No adhesion is given on polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE, Teflon). Since we can only cover a section - albeit as large as possible - of suitable surfaces or surface treatments with our instructions here, it is the user's responsibility to carry out preliminary tests on other substrates.
Before using tesa® Power.Kit technology, the surface must be cleaned and prepared. Use a clean, soft cloth and (some water) pure alcohol (70% isopropyl alcohol solution) to remove dust or dirt from the surface.
Afterwards, make sure the surface is clean and dry. Do not use benzine or methylated spirits under any circumstances. Important: The insulating layer on hydrophobic tiles cannot be removed chemically.
On suitable surfaces, leaked adhesive can be scraped off with a (kitchen) scraper after curing.

Once the tesa® Power.Kit system has been properly fastened, the single-component adhesive used not only guarantees permanently consistent adhesive forces, but its permanent elasticity also means that it does not fray, as happens with textile adhesive tapes after just a few weeks, and also that there are no breaks in the adhesive surface as a result of short-term impact loads, as often happens with crystalline-curing two-component adhesives. Thus, tesa® Power.Kit fastening technology gives the user a completely new, convincing, and positive bonding experience!
