Providing adhesive expertise to drive innovation

tesa had developed a new Seal Line tape that we knew could help our customer, a European OEM with a global footprint, secure more sales. At the same time, the OEM was keen to improve supply chain resilience with more suppliers.  

The challenge was, the OEM was relying on old specifications, some of which were no longer relevant for modern seal applications but were stopping new adhesives from being considered by OES partners. 

Sharing our expertise on real-life tape requirements for seal applications with both the OEM and the door seal manufacturer, we were able to highlight which data was relevant today and why, and then develop the new adhesive solutions that would fulfil their needs, both from a performance and supply chain perspective.
