Head of SHEQ (m/f/d)

What you will do

As Head of SHEQ (m/f/d), you will be responsible for all SHEQ topics within the corporate business. The role reports directly to the Global Head of Legal. In cases of severe regulatory, quality, or occupational safety/environmental escalations or issues, you will be in direct touch with the CEO.

Your tasks include:

  • Disciplinary leadership of the Corporate Quality, and SHE
  • Overall responsibility and accountability for the Quality function for tesa including quality management and occupational safety
  • Lead a team of quality, SHE, and regulatory professionals to execute a single aligned quality strategy that is forward looking and supports business growth and improves product quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintaining, further developing and monitoring compliance with standard procedures such as ISO 9001, IATF and other certification standards
  • Ensuring and continuously optimising a lean and efficient quality management system
  • Proactively implement quality standards to ensure all international tesa plant facilities consistently operate in a state of compliance and inspection readiness
  • Collaborate and partner with site quality leaders and business management teams in order to drive and maintain alignment of quality standards and other trends within the wider Beiersdorf Group
  • Planning and implementation of internal and external audits
  • New development, implementation, and monitoring of meaningful KPIs to ensure and check the required quality standard
  • Lead, manage and develop a high-performing team that are motivated and engaged

What you will need

  • Industrial experience is a prerequisite as well as leadership experience in a comparable position
  • Experience in matrix structures or in a corporate environment
  • Distinct entrepreneurial thinking and acting
  • Strong creative drive with proven change-management experience
  • Strong customer and solution orientation
  • Business partnering mentality
  • Highly assertive and confident appearance with excellent communication skills
  • Experience in an international working environment, ideally in the automotive or chemical industry
  • Very good technical understanding, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Successfully completed technical studies or comparable training
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, other foreign languages are a plus
